December 2023

Issue six

We hope this finds you all well and as the year draws to a close, we would like to say a big thank you, once again, for all your patience and support during the last 12 months of the Sloane Street Transformation works.

As you are aware, all works in the North and South retail areas have now ceased until the New Year. Works in the western residential area will continue until no later than 22/12/2023, when the project from Burberry, right the way down to Tiffany, will have been completed.

Until then, just focussing on works that have already been completed, and those that are currently ongoing, we have the following updates:

Sloane Street Transformation

Sloane Street Lane Closures

Following the last Resident’s Drop-In at Cadogan Hall, it has been confirmed that southbound traffic will be able to continue using Sloane Street throughout the duration of the works. The chicane will remain in place, but move up and down the street, as required.

Trees

New trees are currently being planted along the pavement in the western residential area. Additional trees in the North and South retail areas will be planted early in the New Year.

Cadogan Gate to Pont Street (Footway and Carriageway)

Reach Active’s deep excavation works

Reach Active’s deep excavation works in the carriageway to the front of Fordie House, have now been completed. FM Conway continue to excavate the temporary tarmac surface to lay the new Yorkstone. Works at this location will continue until the Christmas break.

Pont Street to Hans Street

Paving works continue

Paving works continue to move north towards the Danish Embassy.

Sloane Street Junction with Pont Street

Work continuing outside the Cadogan Hotel

Work continuing outside the Cadogan Hotel. Grouting of the new paving outside the entrance to the La Lee Restaurant will be taking place this week. Work will continue into next week at this location, but the barriers will be reduced. Access will remain throughout.
