Towards a transformational 2023 on Sloane Street
I trust that the festive season is proving successful for your business on Sloane Street and that you are enjoying the Christmas lights and activities across the neighbourhood.
You should recently have received a letter from me and Gary Noble, Senior Responsible Officer at Kensington & Chelsea Council. It sets out the schedule for the major works to the pavements that will begin on night of Saturday 7 January 2023. I attach a copy for your information.
Vehicle Access will be single lane (southbound only) on Sloane Street, with work sites along the length of the street. Access to all businesses will always be maintained but the route to the front of your store might be via temporary walkways. The drawing below shows a typical layout.
- PEDESTRIAN ACCESS on the western side of Sloane Street via walkways
- VEHICLE ACCESS is single lane on Sloane Street, travelling southbound only
- Pedestrian access to the eastern side of Sloane Street remains unchanged
- Vehicle access to Sloane Street via side roads will be altered, with some side roads closed off and others one way only. More information can be found in the November update here.
For all the latest information on the public realm works, please visit the ‘News & Updates’ section of the project website at sloanestreetfuture.co.uk. If you have concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me or FM Conway’s Public Liaison Officers Helen McConnell and Cate Green: sloane.street@fmconway.co.uk or on 07917518529/07443077444.
May I take this opportunity to wish you and your family a peaceful Christmas and a prosperous 2023.
