September 2024

Since our last update, public realm work along the east side of the street continues, including work on the kerbstones and Yorkstone paving. Planters are being installed on the footways and the team continues to construct raised tables. RBKC and contractor FM Conway currently have seven active worksites on Sloane Street, meanwhile Reach Active have now been demobilised from Sloane Street.

Sloane Street Transformation

North Sloane Street

Works to relocate Bus Stop KK, outside Louis Vuitton have been completed and TfL has been notified that it can now be reopened. The raised table works at the Harriet Street junction have also been completed and the resurfacing of this side street carriageway is programmed for 9th September (daytime).

RBKC works are ongoing from Harriet Street down to Cadogan Place North and the paving and planters are near completion. Works to the raised table across the Sloane Street carriageway are ongoing outside 50 Sloane Street.

RBKC’s resurfacing of the first section of Sloane Street (from Knightsbridge to Cadogan Place North) is planned for 25th September, over three nights. The crews will commence around 8.00pm working through until 5.00am.

Cadogan Place Gardens

RBKC works are ongoing at the Pont Street junction to install the raised table across the carriageways, prior to the installation of TfL’s new traffic lights.

The installation of the Public Realm works continues along the edge of Cadogan Place Gardens, up to the junction with Cadogan Place North, where the new water drinking fountain is being commissioned.

South Sloane Street

The Public Realm works have completed on the raised table across Ellis Street and new signage and road line markings are due to be installed. Once this has been done, Ellis Street will be reopened, around 9th September.

Wilbraham Place is close to completion too. It is being sealed and grouted on 7th September and then similarly to Ellis Street, once signs and road markings have been completed, it too will reopen.

RBKC works are ongoing at the south end of Sloane Street, near Holy Trinity Church, with the planter now installed and the paving laid around this.

This southern section of Sloane Street will be resurfaced overnight, for two nights from 3rd October.
