November 2022

Customer Update

It was marvellous to see so many of you at the Sloane Street retailer breakfast on 2 November. We hope you enjoyed the presentations and the company of colleagues. I attach a copy of the presentation for your reference. Please complete our retailer survey here.

With this being the penultimate monthly communication for the year, and the Christmas Lights being switched on across the neighbourhood this Saturday, I wish you and your colleagues a happy and successful festive season.

– Giles Semper, Head of Place, Cadogan

Sloane Street Transformation

Works in front of retail premises have now been suspended until the new year. On 8 January 2023 the northbound lane of Sloane Street will close to traffic. Two major traffic diversions will be put in place. There will be worksites on most of the western side of the street.

To find out how the lane closure will affect your business:

As always, information on specific  of the impacts of the project can be obtained from Helen McConnell (07917 518 529 /helen.mcconnell@fmconway.co.uk) or Catherine Green (07443 077444 / catherine.green@fmconway.co.uk). If you would like to meet with me, you are welcome to fix a date on my Calendly here.

Sharing Safety & Security Information

Following the introduction of daytime patrolling security we will be introducing a new information-sharing platform, again in partnership with the two local Business Improvement Districts (BIDs).

SentrySIS is widely used across London and is designed to replace the existing WhatsApp group which is not GDPR compliant. It can be accessed on both mobile phone and PC.

I will be writing to you to encourage sign-up before Christmas. The system will go live for Sloane Street in January. The more retailers come on board, the more effective SentrySIS will be.

Improving Sloane Street air quality

You should have heard from my colleague Grace Hamer via Sustainability@cadogan.co.uk about our freight and logistics survey. Please book your session in at a convenient time for you here. The survey aims to improve air quality and ease congestion by reducing vehicle numbers and movements, as well as stopping waste building up on the street. Your participation in this project is vital.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

The neighbourhood is offering everyone a warm welcome over the Christmas period. Kicking off on Saturday with the Christmas Lights Switch-On, there will be live entertainment, mini-makers workshops, horse & carriage rides, festive fine food market and chance to meet Santa’s reindeer. Find our more here.

Sparkling seasonal festivities – open this Saturday until Christmas eve – include a Diptyque-scented Santa’s grotto, Bavarian Curling and Winter Terrace on Sloane Square. For further information please visit ChelseaChristmas.co.uk.
